Louis Walsh has admitted he thinks people are bored with The X Factor.
The music manager was rumoured to have been “axed” from the show this week, with boss Simon Cowell saying the door is always open for Louis to return.
And now the Mayo man has said he thinks audiences are growing tired of the reality series.

“I think viewers are right when they say X Factor isn’t quite what it used to be. It’s still great, of course, but last year wasn’t as good as it could’ve been and we all knew it,” he admitted.
Adding fuel to rumours that he will be launching his own Ireland’s Got Talent, Louis added:
“Personally, I believe viewers are sick of all the singing, they want a combination of talents like Britain’s Got Talent.”
“That’s going stronger than ever and Simon is really delighted with it, so perhaps X Factor will go down that road.
“At the end of the day you need to give people what they want,” he told the Mail Online.

Meanwhile Louis admitted he thinks his rumoured replacement Nick Grimshaw would make a great judge.
“Yeah, he is (good) because he knows what’s going on in the world of pop. He knows what’s cool and what’s not.
“His only problem is that he wears unusual clothes, but then again so does Simon, so they’ll get along famously,” he admitted.
