Liam Neeson: 'I can't do more then three takes on a movie or I'll get exhausted'

He’s become known for his action films but actor Liam Neeson has revealed he doesn’t film a fight scene more than three times because he fears he’ll get “exhausted”.

The Taken franchise actor has admitted he lacks the stamina needed to film action scenes more than three times.

“Each shot depends on lot of things but at the third, I’m exhausted, so we try not to repeat each scene more than three times,” he said.

“We rehearse a lot fights so that when we shot there is no accident and no punch, at least until now.”

The 62-year-old’s comments comes after he revealed he is planning to quit action films – previously confessing he wants to combats older roles.

Appearing on Spanish TV show El Hormiguero, he admitted: “Maybe two more years – if God spares me, and I’m healthy. But after that, I’ll stop [the action], I think.”

Although Liam said he’s enjoyed great success with action films, he understands it can’t go on forever.

The Hollywood actor has caused controversy among terror victims having signed up to star as an IRA sniper in A Man and Wonderful Thing.
