Liam Neeson has revealed he is going to quit action movies in two years time.
The Irish actor, 62, has become an action hero icon after playing Bryan Mills in the Taken franchise, but now Liam is ready to take a break.
Asked if he is going to continue starring in similiar movies Liam said:
“Maybe two more years. If God spares me and I’m healthy. But after that, I’ll stop [the action] I think.”
Calling it quits: Liam is ready to play a normal dad
The father of two, who shot to fame in heavy-hitting dramas including Schindler’s List and Michael Collins, became known to a new generation of film fans with 2008 action hit Taken.
Since starring in the Taken movies Liam has also starred in action flick Non-Stop and is now promoting Run For Your Life.
“Career-wise, I’m in a very great place. The success of certainly the Taken films, Hollywood sees me in a different light,” Liam admitted.
“I get sent quite a few action-oriented scripts, which is great. I’m not knocking it. It’s very flattering. But there is a limit, of course.
Happy: Liam is delighted with his career after Taken
“If I feel audiences saying, ‘Come on, he’s 62, enough is enough,’ I’m very sensitive to that and if I pick up that vibe it will all stop and I’ll start playing dads or grandfathers.
“But I keep myself pretty fit and my knees are still great. And it’s fun.”
