Stolen idea: Kodaline joked Katy Perry took their shark performance idea

“Damn you, Katy Perry.”

Speaking to Absolute Radio at the Isle of Wight festival, the band laughed about the possibility but still rocked the Saturday of the renowned festival without their trusty sharks.

Katy Perry’s routine became an online sensation after fans picked up on the left shark’s dodgy dance moves with her later releasing an official onesie dedicated to her back-up dancer.

“We’re working on our third album – it’s what we love doing as long as we can keep releasing songs we will,” Jason revealed.

However the Dublin band admitted they haven’t dediced on their sound for their impending release.

“We haven’t actually recorded any songs yet but we’ve started writing them – we’re just excited to get back together into the studio and play some music,” Mark said.
