Honorary Irishman: James Corden to receive top gong at Oscar Wilde Awards

James Cordon is set to be honoured at the 11th annual Oscar Wilde Awards in February.

The awards are usually given to a notable figure of Irish background, however occasionally an honorary Irishman or woman will also be selected.

The Gavin and Stacey star has been chosen by the US-Ireland Alliance to receive the gong in recognition of his contribution to film and television.
