Former RTE executive Mary Curtis has left UTV Ireland.

The Head of Channel stepped down today, making her the latest staff member to leave, following Chris Donoghue and Pat Kenny.

“I am very proud of what we have achieved – both in 2014 whilst setting up the channel and throughout our first year of broadcasting in 2015,” Mary said according to the Sunday Business Post.

“I am very lucky to be surrounded by a highly talented and enthusiastic team in UTV Ireland and I wish everyone at the station every success in the coming years.”

Mary went on to say that she had already decided she would be reviewing her position at the station.

“It has been an exciting and challenging year for the team and I, and we have succeeded in attracting more than 2.3 million viewers every week, which is a tremendous achievement for a new television channel,” she added.

The news comes after former Commercial Director of TV3 Pat Kiely, was announced as TV3’s new Managing Director.
