TV3 darling Glenda Gilson has opened up about celebrating her husband, Rob McNaughton’s 40th birthday – admitting he was “an anti-christ” leading up to the big day.
The 34-year-old revealed she shocked her long-term love with a surprise party with friends and family.
“He was a bit of an anti-christ two weeks ago and I had a surprise party for him,” she said.

“He doesn’t like parties, he’s never had parties and then he turned around to me and said ‘I think I have to have a party, can you set something up for me for about 150 people?’
“I was like ‘sorry?’ – for someone who doesn’t like parties he was having a moment, saying he had to celebrate this and he thought I was doing nothing for him and he walked into a room full of friends.”
The brunette beauty admitted her hubby was clueless about her secret party planning and even shed a tear over the surprise.
“He shed a few tears and all, he’s a bit of a sensitive type and he couldn’t believe it that I pulled the wool over he’s eyes so it worked,” she told the Nicky Byrne Show on 2fm.

Opening up about Christmas plans, the Xpose presenter revealed she’ll be spending the festive season with Rob and his family.
“Thankfully both our parents are in Dublin so it is my turn to go to Rob’s house this year so I will do both. I’ll go to my mam’s [house] in the morning and then to his,” she shared.
Meanwhile, the former model insisted she won’t be lending a hand with in the kitchen this yuletide – admitting she burns water.
“Yes, absolutely. I burn water. I’ll do the cleaning up and the decorations and all that but no cooking,” she laughed.
