TV3 darling Glenda Gilson has revealed that it’s not all glitz and glamour working on Xpose.
The brunette beauty, who has fronted the show for eight years, insisted to become a successful presenter on the show you have to go the extra mile.
“You think it’s all glitz, glamour, camera, action, I’m fabulous,” she said.

“The work you’ve got to do behind and keep up and come home at midnight and get back in here and look fresh and just say nothing.”
Understanding it’s a lot of hard work, fellow Xpose presenter Lisa Cannon had some sage advice for wannabe hosts as the show is set to recruit new talent to cover their pregnant colleagues Karen Koster and Aisling O’Loughlin.
“I would say you need to have pointy elbows, big hair and a loud voice because if you’re on a red carpet, you have to manoeuvre everyone out of the way, make yourself larger than life and you have to bellow to get the stars to come over to you,” she told the Irish Mirror.
“If you’re meek and you’re quiet, it never happens. You have to be quite feisty and have a Duracell bunny constitution because the job is exhausting, the hours are long, and you just have to keep cranking the engines.”
