Domhnall Gleeson has revealed that meeting Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie was a big deal for him.
The Dublin native starred in Unbroken, which was directed by Angelina, and has nothing but good things to say about her, admitting that he was a little bit star struck when meeting her.
“Meeting Angie was a big one. Calling her Angie – I know that makes me sound like an a***hole. Because she was a great actor but then also seemed like an icon in some ways as well,” he revealed.

Although Angelina is seen as such a huge superstar, Domhnall quickly realised that at the end of the day she is just a person.
“But then you realise this is a person who lives in the world as well.”
Speaking about how Angelina was depicted in the controversial Sony leaks, he said it has nothing to do with his experience of her.

“I have nothing to say about that, it’s got nothing to do with my experience of her.”
She was very generous, quite open and caring. And a very good director, which is what I was interested in,” he told the Irish Independent.
