Dermot O’Leary has revealed that former X Factor judge Louis Walsh has been texting him to gloat as the show is beaten by Strictly Come Dancing in the ratings.
The former presenter of the talent show admitted that he doesn’t really watch the show anymore since stepping away from his post last year.
“I don’t watch it so much religiously because I was on it for so long. I’ve dipped in and out. I like it,” he said.
Ratings: Louis reckons he’s missed on The X Factor
While the TV star hasn’t seen Louis for some time, they’re still in contact through text.
“I haven’t seen Louis for ages. I got a text from him last week – ‘They’re missing us Dermot! Have you seen the ratings?’ He’s loving that!” he told The Mirror UK.
The launch of Strictly Come Dancing was watched by an average of 8.69 million viewers while The X Factor was seen by a more modest 7.13 million viewers.
It comes after Louis revealed he’s not too impressed with new judge Nick Grimshaw and even forgot his name during an interview.
