Danny O'Reilly opens up about The Coronas breaking America

The Coronas frontman Danny O’Reilly has revealed they have signed to a Universal label in the States.

Opening up about the bands attempts to break the US, the Mark My Words singer admitted they had just returned from stream of American gigs.

“We actually just got back from New York last week before I went to Spain,” he said.

“We were in New York for a couple of gigs, part of the deal over there is that we have to sign to a Universal label so someone on the universal roster,” he told 2FM.

“It’s moving along, we’re still getting away with it,” he explained.

Speaking to The Nicky Byrne Show on 2FM, Danny revealed he does a mean impression of Pogues lead singer Shane McGowan

“Last weekend in Spain, all my uncles were there and they were slagging me about when I was barely able to talk and I knew every word of the Irish Rover when I was four but not only that, I do the best Shane McGowan impression ever apparently,” he said.

“I don’t even know on the first of July 1806, it’s the only line I know now but apparently back then I knew the whole thing,” he said.
