Danny O’Reilly had to play a solo set at V Festival last weekend because they arrived late to their set.
The Coronas played at a gig in Northern Ireland the night before and got delayed on their way to the UK festival.
“We actually almost missed the gig on Saturday morning, we were on our tour bus from Belsonic where we played on Friday night in Belfast and we arrived ten minutes before the set because the ferry was delayed,” he said.

“We only just made it and I just went up and did a few acoustic songs. I didn’t have anytime to set up any of the gear at all ,” he told Eoghan Mc Dermott on his new show on 2fm.
The front man had to think on his feet and played for the crowd gathering at the main stage.
“I never do solo stuff ever but it actually went really well, it was nice, everyone was sitting down on the grass and it sort of suited it better,” he explained.
“It was really really good fun,” he added.
