CONFIRMED! U2 will play Irish gig this November

Bono has finally confirmed that U2 will play Irish dates this coming November.

The international hit makers were rumoured to be making their Irish comeback before Christmas, and now Bono has admitted they will play dates in two months time.

“We are coming home… it was really hard to figure out a way of doing it, but we just had to make it happen,” Bono told the Irish Times.

According to the publication a big announcement will be coming this Wednesday, with rumours the band will be playing the 3Arena.

Back home: U2 will do an Irish gig in November

“We found a way to reformat the show, to literally rebuild it for the Irish shows,” Bono added.

“It got to the stage where we just had to tell our people ‘You have to make this happen, you have to make this work, this is where we are from and we have to bring the tour home’.”

Their world tour was meant to finish in Paris on November 15th but has now been extended until the end of November to accommodate their Irish dates.

“I am so happy we are bringing this home,” Bono continued.

“These Irish shows will be like an Irish wedding. It is always tricky planning a wedding – who sits besides who could ruin it!”
