Sold out: Ed’s Whelans gig was a huge hit

“I’m playing the 24th of July. I’ve heard the most amazing things about it and that they don’t do many concerts, so I never expected to play there.

“It really is an honour to play Croke Park,” he added.

“I enjoyed (Dublin) enough to extend the tour longer than I said I’d ever extend it..

“I’m in Ireland on an average four of five times a year since I was born, so I like to think it’s my country as well as the UK.

“If I could move to Ireland I would in a heart beat,” he added.

Tickets for the highly-anticipated gig will go on sale next Thursday, February 26 at 9am.
