Harry Potter fans rejoice – Colin Farrell has been cast in the new spin off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that the True Detective star has signed up for the role of Graves – a wizard that character Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne) meets in New York.
So far the only other actors confirmed to star in the flick include Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, and Alison Sudol.
Prequel: The movie takes place 70 years before the original films
The story, by JK Rowling, follows Newt as he follows magical creatures. The film will be a prequel to the Harry Potter series as it takes place 70 years before Harry Potter’s time at Hogwarts.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to be directed by David Yates, who directed the last four Harry Potter movies and JK Rowling will write the screen play for the movie,  making her screenwriting debut.
