Celebs come together to break a Guinness World Record and support Focus Ireland

Some of TV3’s most popular stars are at Bank of Ireland on College Green today to attempt to break a Guinness World Record and lend their support for TV3 and Focus Ireland’s #Hand4Homelessness campaign.

Xposé’s Glenda Gilson, Karen Koster, Peter O’Riordan and Lisa Cannon are involved in the cause as well as Red Rock stars including Cathy Belton, David Crowley, Adam Weafer and Darren Cahill, as well as TV3 weatherman Deric Hartigan.

TV3 is inviting the general public to leave a handprint on the giant mural on College Green for this major fundraising initiative which is being broadcast on all TV3 live shows throughout the day, having kicked off with Ireland AM, then followed by Midday, The 12:30, The 5:30, Xposé and The Seven O’Clock Show.

The campaign is also encouraging people to show their ‘Hand4Homelessness’ along with a text donation of €2 to Focus Ireland.

If TV3 succeed in collecting over 3,000 handprints over an eight hour period, it will mean a guaranteed €6,000 (€2 per handprint) in donations to Focus Ireland and a new Guinness World Record.

An adjudicator from Guinness World Records UK will be present at the event.
