Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendan is currently in Dublin but seemed to confuse Ireland with the UK.
The actor who played Xander Harris on the hit show is appearing at Comic Con this weekend but wasn’t completely sure if he had ever been in the Emerald Isle before.
“I have to think about it…it’s my first time in Ireland. Scotland is not Ireland right? I was in Wales about three months ago, Wales is interesting,” he said.

Speaking to Rick O’Shea on 2fm, the TV star was asked why Buffy is still so beloved by fans years after it ended in 2003.
“Um….you know, because of me?” he said.
However, Nicholas soon turned all humble and admitted the writing also may have had something to do with the shows success.

“I think it’s smart and the writing was good. [Creator] Joss Whedon was really good at scaring you and then you laugh. I think he’s a genius when it comes to that.”
The 44-year-old will be at Comic Con over the weekend alongside fellow Buffy alum Emma Caulfied who starred as his love interest Anya.
