Brendan O’Connor has revealed he has received well wishes from all his RTE colleagues ahead of his new show – apart from Ray D’Arcy.
The former Saturday Night Show host admitted the “TV titans” have been welcoming about his return to TV which begins tonight on RTE One.
“Miriam is always very generous with her good wishes and Ryan has been very generous with his good wishes,” he said.

“The TV titans have spoken and given me their blessing.”
However when asked by The Herald if he had received a good luck message from Ray D’Arcy, Brendan simply replied “No”.
Meanwhile, the TV star admitted he won’t miss being pitted up against The Late Late Show in the rating wars.
“Am I glad to be out of that dogfight? Probably,” he said.
