Both Miss Irelands fail to make Top 15 at Miss World and Miss Universe

Both of Ireland’s new pageant queens failed to make the Top 15 at Miss World and Miss Universe this weekend.

Derry beauty Joanna Cooper made a big impact in Vegas last week as she represented Ireland at the Miss Universe contest, but the Andrea Roche model didn’t make the final line up.

The Cara Delevigne look-a-like had become a favourite for many, but didn’t make the Top 15.

Stunning: Joanna stood out at Miss Universe

Joanna’s national costume made headlines last week, when her design by Eamon  McGill stood out on stage, with the model pulling out gold wings from her glitzy leotard.

Meanwhile our Miss Ireland Sacha Livingstone also didn’t make the final line up at this year’s Miss World contest.

The blonde jetted to Sanya for the international contest, but didn’t impress the judges quite enough.

Miss Spain was crowned Miss World at the ceremony, with Russia and Indonesia getting second and third place.

Roz Purcell has been our most successful Miss Universe Ireland to date, and Rosanna Davison was crowned Miss World in 2003.
