She’s taken TV by storm and now Angela Scanlon is set to take on the airwaves as she’s been announced as the new host on UK’s Virgin Radio.
The flame-haired presenter will join comedian Russell Kane on the much anticipated station, which launches on Wednesday 30th March, with The Saturday Show from 10am-1pm.
Speaking about her new venture, the Voice UK digital presenter admitted she’s been working on a regular slot for some time.
“I’m delighted to be joining such a brilliant bunch at the all new Virgin Radio and can’t wait to co host with Russell (Kane),” she said.

“He’s fabulously, inappropriately funny and I enjoy feeling terror in the workplace! We shall be infusing your Saturday mornings with our very own (made up) brand of “controlled mayhem”.
“I absolutely love radio and have been keen to work on something regular for ages,” she admitted.
“I’ve got lots of friends here and at home who are incredible broadcasters so I’m sure I’ll be tapping them up for some words of wisdom.”
The Meath woman’s radio news comes after she was announced to present Robot Wars alongside Dara O’Briain.
