EXCLUSIVE! David Rawle: 'I'm onboard for a Moone Boy movie'

Moone Boy star David Rawle has admitted he’s “onboard” for a Moone Boy movie – when it gets the green light that is.

Fans of the Sky One show have been waiting in anticipation on whether a big screen version will happen for the much loved series.

Speaking to Goss.ie at the launch of Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camps, the Leitrim native confessed nothing has yet been confirmed for the show written by Chris O’Dowd.

“They’ve talked about doing something else, kind of doing another series or even a movie,” he said.

“But they haven’t 100% said ‘Oh yeah we’re going to do it’, so hopefully if they do something then I’d definitely be onboard.”

Opening up about his character Martin Moone, David said it would be interesting to “explore” whether he stills has his imaginary friend as he gets older.

“In the second series they hinted he was getting a bit old for an imaginary friend but now it’s kind of ‘cop on’,” he said.

“So maybe they could do something about him being much older and whether he wants to keep this other part of him in his life or let it go. It’s something to explore.”
