The Hits, Nostalgia and the Meet and Greets: 7 reasons why we can't wait for the Boyzlife tour

Fans of 90s pop rejoiced when it was recently announced Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden had formed a new band called Boyzlife.

The former Boyzone star and the Westlife singer have joined forces to bring their unique brand of Irish pop back to their legions of loyal fans.

The lads have planned a tour in associated with Hilton Hotels and with their original 12 dates sold out, Keith and Brian are looking to expand.

 

1. It’s the reunion of the decade

Westlife and Boyzone were two of the biggest bans of the nineties and noughties.

Much like the death of Michael Jackson, everyone remembers where they were when they hard the news their favourite groups were calling it quits.

Although we wont have all nine original members back in business, two is better than none and with all their shows sold out, it looks like a lot of fans think so too.

 

2. Brian will be singing Westlife again

It was a dark day in the pop world when Brian McFadden announced that he was leaving Westlife in 2004.

The group continued on for eight years after Brian’s departure but things weren’t the same.

Die hard Westlife lovers will weep when they hear the Dublin native belt out Flying Without Wings for the first time in over a decade.

 

3. The banter

Boyzlife began when Keith Duffy decided to do his own solo tour.

Brian stopped by to catch one of his shows and after a few drinks, the pair decided to join forces for the show of a lifetime.

The pair have promised the show will be more than just singing and they’ll also be having the chats on stage and interviewing each other.

We’re sure a secret or two will slip out in those chats – stay tuned!

6. The meet and greets

If Keith and Brian didn’t love their fans, they wouldn’t have set up Boyzlife in the first place.

Gig goers can definitely expect a meet and greet after the show and the all important selfie for your new Facebook profile picture.

Don’t forget to ask them when the rest of the lads will be joining them!

 

7. You could catch a glimpse of their former bandmates

So as we’ve said, the rest of the guys from Boyzone and Westlife wont be joining Keith and Brian’s new group – but you can still see them at their gigs.

The boys are all very supporting of the new group and according to Keith and Brian, some of them will be attending their shows.

“We know that Shane [Lynch] and Mikey [Graham] are definitely going to come,” they told Hello! Magazine.
