Love/Hate actor Laurence Kinlan has admitted he loves working on stage instead of screen as it allows him to spend more time with his kids.
The RTE star, who became a household name as Elmo in the gritty crime drama, has been enjoying his time away from the small screen to spend time with his sons Oren and Ollie.
“It’s nice because it gives you some freedom,” he said.

“I have two kids so doing a show at night allows me to be with them all day and do the school run.
“Sometimes it can get frustrating having to leave at the same time every day, it can feel like all your evenings are taken up,” he told the Mirror.
“But the pros are you get to spend time with your kids so it’s worth it.”
