Nicky Byrne has revealed that although his radio contract is finishing up soon, he has no plans to leave.
The former Westlife star presents the very popular Nicky Byrne Show on 2fm with co-host Jenny Greene and he’s making sure he stays on the airwaves as long as possible.
“I love doing the 2fm radio show with Jenny and we have a really great laugh every day,” he said.

“You get to interview some of the biggest stars in movies and music. It’s great fun and I don’t want that to end.”
“My aim is not to leave that. My two-year contract with 2fm is up shortly and we’re talking about doing more, so I’m not going away.”
“I have no intention of leaving the life I have,” he told the Sunday World’s Magazine +.

Meanwhile, the radio presenter admitted he knows that people will make fun of him for doing Eurovision this year, but he’s not worried about the criticism.
“I know some people are going to slag me for doing Eurovision, but I have a thick skin,” he said.
“You have to have in this business or you wouldn’t get out of bed.”
“I believe I’m going to the Eurovision with a great song. There are things you never do again, so I am determined to enjoy every moment of it because I love Eurovision.”
