Last night’s episode of  Rebellion has drawn a very mixed reaction from viewers.
While many fans have praised the show for its emotional drama, others have slated the series and RTE for ‘historical inaccuracies‘.
Sunday night’s episode depicted the death of a young boy gunned down in the street, and people were divided in their views.
14-year-old Peter, the nephew of Brian Gleeson’s character Jimmy Mahon, was shot while collecting apples in the third episode.

The boy is helped by medical student Elizabeth, played by Charlie Murphy, who carried him to hospital however his injuries prove too severe.
Brian revealed he was blown away by Jason’s moving performance and said the young actor should be “proud of his impact on the series.”
“His performance was great. War is violent and random and this episode jumps in the deep end and isn’t afraid of showing the horrific loss that some of the characters have endure,” he told The Herald.
“I’m very proud to be on the screen with all the actors in this show. Â They’re all absolutely terrific.”

Only authentic thing about #Rebellion is its abject failure which typifies how far removed RTE personnel are from the spirit of the nation
