Reports have recently circulated all over the media about actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson as he has been rumoured to play the next James Bond.
The 33-year-old has allegedly been “formally offered the opportunity” to play the iconic British spy but has not yet accepted the offer.

Aaron grew up in High Wycombe and studied drama, jazz, dancing, singing, tap and acrobatics at the Jackie Palmer Stage School.
He left school at 15 to then pursue acting.
The British actor’s breakthrough role was back in 2009 in Sam Taylor’s, his now wife’s, biopic about musician John Lennon.
Previously he had starred in the iconic romantic-comedy, Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging, alongside Georgia Groome and Eleanor Tomlinson and earned his title as “heartthrob.”
The 33-year-old may also be best known for his portrayal of the title character in the black comedy superhero films, Kick-Ass, which debuted in 2010 and its sequel in 2012.
He went on to star in roles in 2012’s Anna Karenina, monster film Godzilla in 2014 and the thriller Nocturnal Animals in 2016.
For his role as the psychopathic Ray Marcus, Aaron won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor at the prestigious award ceremony in 2017.
He was also nominated for the BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor, but sadly lost out to Dev Patel.
Aaron has also appeared in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet and most recently starred alongside Brad Pitt in Bullet Train.
Apart from his stellar filmography, Aaron has been married to Sam Taylor since 2012.
He first met his now wife when she directed him in 2009’s Nowhere Boy, when he was 18-years-old, with Sam being 23-years his senior.
Sam previously told Harper’s Bazaar they remained “very professional” on the production and didn’t start dating until after the project had finished filming.
Their relationship has garnered attention over the years due to their large age gap.
After marrying in 2012, the couple went on to have daughters Wylda, 13, Romy, 11.
Sam already shares daughters Angelica, 27, and Jessie, 17, from her previous marriage to art dealer, Jay Jopling.
Now, the actor is reportedly set to take on the high-profile Bond role.
If Aaron accepts the opportunity he would be the seventh actor to take on the lead in the Bond franchise.
A recent poll created by the Daily Mail suggested that Suicide Squad actor Idris Elba was the public’s number one choice for the role.
However, the 51-year-old actor has since come out and said he would not be available due to his successful crime drama, Luther.
According to The Sun: “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it. The formal offer is on the table and they are waiting to hear back.”
“As far as Eon is concerned, Aaron is going to sign his contract in the coming days and they can start preparing for the big announcement.”
In an interview with Numero last week, Aaron reacted humbly to the rumours he is set to play the next 007.
Aaron told the outlet: “I find it charming and wonderful that people see me in that role. I take it as a great compliment.”
