Amanda Byram has revealed how she landed her coveted presenting role on RTE’s newest and sparkliest show, Dancing With The Stars.
Speaking to Goss.ie after she and Nicky Byrne were revealed as the show’s hosts, the brunette beauty explained how she was picked.
“I was very lucky in that I didn’t have to go through [casting]. A few phone calls were made and I was very excited to be on board,” she said.

However, Amanda admitted that she had to do some chemistry tests to help find the show’s second host.
“There were chemistry tests, of course, to make sure that who you’re doing it with is someone that’s going to work with you and you work with,” she told Goss.ie.
“I always knew that Nicky would be a perfect choice because he’s brilliant and he’s gorgeous, he’s funny and he’s fun.
“We worked together years ago, I interviewed him on the Big Breakfast, so we’ve been in the industry and around each other for years – but we’ve never had an opportunity to work together so this is brilliant.
“Nicky was always in the forefront of their mind. I think it’s ultimately the knew what they wanted,” she added.
