They did the country proud with a brave display in Euro 2016 and while the competition continues without them, Ireland’s soccer heroes are enjoying a well deserved break with their families.
Although they would no doubt love to still be in the Euros, Ireland’s national team are using their early exit to fit in some family time before training for the new season starts.
Ireland’s goalscoring hero Robbie Brady has jetted off to Sardinia with his other half Kerrie and their adorable daughter Halle, with Kerrie keeping fans updated on their idyllic break via Instagram.

Kerrie shared a sweet picture of Halle and captioned it: “She Melts Me. Having A Ball In Sardinia With Mammy, Daddy & The Hoolahans (sic).”
Glenn Whelan, his wife Karen and their kids have also departed for a sunshine destination and while Karen did not reveal where they have gone, she made her Twitter followers envious by posting pictures of their idyllic getaway.

Robbie and Claudine Keane enjoy sunshine all-year round in Los Angeles where they are based so they chose to spend some post-Euros time at home in Dublin.
And Claudine revealed their eldest son Robert Jr has not let his dad out of his sight since Ireland left the competition.
The trio even paid a visit to Claudine’s old school in Malahide.

After sharing an adorable video of her husband Shane Long being greeted by their daughters Tiegan and Erin at the airport, Kayleah Long also posted a picture of her with her husband and revealed they are off on holiday next week.
And judging by the supportive tweets they received from their celeb fans following defeat to France, it seems like everyone would agree their holidays are well deserved.
