Bono has praised Jennifer Lawrence for her efforts to promote equal pay in Hollywood.
The Oscar winning actress has previously hit out at the pay gap in the entertainment industry after discovering she was paid much less than her male co-stars for American Hustle.
Speaking at a Facebook Live Q&A to discuss his visit to refugees in the Middle East and Africa, the Irish singer complimented the the movie star for speaking out.

“Gender equality is at the centre of any movement that holds fairness, freedom and justice as its core values,” he said.
“In Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence, speaking about how actors are paid. Women have this incredible thing – bond I think you have. More than men. Women [have a] great sense of solidarity.”
The U2 frontman also discussed his organisation One which is involved in gender issues through its campaign Poverty Is Ssexist.

“It’s women saying they will not have it anymore. They will not take the bad deal,” he said.
It comes after Bono said the US senate should send comedians Amy Schumer, Chris Rock and Sacha Baren Cohen to the middle east to deal with ISIS.
