Kim Kardashian has poked fun at her divorce from Kanye West during her Saturday Night Live debut.
The KUWTK star hosted the late night comedy sketch show from Studio 8H in New York City on October 9, stepping out in a pink catsuit for the occasion.
The 40-year-old opened the show with a nod to the intimate video that launched her career, saying: “I know, I’m surprised to see me here too. When they asked I was like, ‘you want me to host, why? I haven’t had a movie premiere in a really long time’.”
“Actually, I only had that one movie come out and no-one told me it was even premiering.”

“It must’ve slipped my mom’s mind,” Kim added, joking about her momager Kris Jenner.
“I am excited to be here tonight to show you guys I’m so much more than a pretty face – and good hair and great makeup and amazing boobs and a perfect butt. Basically, I’m just so much more than that reference photo my sisters showed their plastic surgeons.”
“But the one thing I’m really proud of is that no-one can ever call me a gold digger,” the KKW Beauty founder continued. “Honestly, I’m not even sure how you become one. So I asked my mom’s boyfriend Corey.”
Kim went on to say how delighted she was to follow in her late father Robert Kardashian’s footsteps in pursuing a legal career.
The mother-of-four joked it was her father who introduced her to a black person for the first time – inviting the audience to “take a stab in the dark at who it was”.
Robert was OJ Simpson’s lawyer during his 1995 murder trial, and Kim added: “OJ does leave mark – or several – or none at all, I still don’t know.”
The SKIMS founder went on to poke fun at her ex-husband Kanye and her step-father Caitlyn Jenner’s failed bids for political office.
She said: “I’m not running for president – we can’t have three failed politicians in this family.”
Kim then said: “I’ve been very blessed in this life and I’m very grateful for that… I mean I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he’s the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.”
“So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: His personality.”
Later in the show, Kim showed her acting skills, appearing as Princess Jasmine in an Aladdin sketch with Pete Davidson, as a contestant on a reality TV dating show and as a presenter on a darkly zany local newscast.
In the Aladdin sketch, Kim and Pete held hands and kissed while they rode a magic carpet.
Also on the show, Kim impersonated her sister Kourtney in a sketch entitled ‘The People’s Kourt’.
Viewers took to Twitter to praise Kim for her hilarious SNL hosting debut.
One tweeted: “I don’t know who wrote Kim Kardashian’s jokes but damn.”
Another wrote: “Came in with low expectations but Kim Kardashian’s monologue had me HOWLING.”
