Lucy Mecklenburgh has slammed slimming products that are aimed at new mothers.
The 28-year-old welcomed her first child, a son named Roman, with her fiancé Ryan Thomas back in March – and she recently revealed that she’s shed four stone since giving birth.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Lucy informed her followers that she has been bombarded with offers to promote “extreme” diet products.
“So many of you are asking me about my post yesterday when I said I’ve lost 4 stone,” she said.
“It was actually not even about that it was frustration because I’ve had a baby and all my ads on my phone are about post-baby weight loss and ‘get your pre-baby body back.'”
“Loads of really extreme diets like slimming pills, shakes and laxative teas. My DMs, everyone’s like, would you like to promote this skinny coffee or skinny shake,” she explained.
“I was so fed up and so frustrated that I thought I would share that you can lose weight after a baby and it doesn’t have to be drastic.”
“For me it’s just walking, normal meals (lots of biscuits tho lol) stretching and loads of cleaning ha! I’m not taking any slimming products! So damaging for your health and mental health,” she added.
The new mum announced her pregnancy last August, two months after Ryan proposed to her while on holiday in Italy.
