X Factor: The Band debuted on ITV last night, and fans are not happy with the show.
Taking to Twitter, viewers slammed the new series, which is being judged by Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell.
Tweeters expressed their huge disappointment at the format – which some noted was very similar to Popstars: The Rivals, which aired back in 2002.
Others encouraged people to boycott the show, and wait for Little Mix’s new talent series on the BBC, which is set to air in 2020.

Rak Su only won 2 years ago & since then they have done hardly anything despite them being able to write their own music. How are we meant to be invested in a group after 4 days of shows ? Thank God Little Mix have got away from the crappy label that is Syco #XFactorTheBand

Seriously #XFactorTheBand? When will people tire of watching the same old shit? The ‘dead Nana would be proud’ stories, the nervous parents looking on shaking like a shitting dog and the vom inducing piano score that fades in when an emotional moment is about to happen. Same shit

It comes as Little Mix launched their own talent show to rival that of their ex-manager Simon Cowell.
Little Mix: The Search has a similar format which will see the four band members, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirwall, Jesy Nelson and Perrie Edwards search for talent for the UK’s next big pop band.
X Factor: The Band continues next Wednesday on ITV at 8.30pm.
