A charge of sexual assault against comedian Al Porter was dropped today.
The entertainer was accused of assaulting a young man at a venue in Dublin back in 2016, but prosecutors have now dropped their case against him.
Al, who was charged under his real name Alan Kavanagh, appeared at Dublin District Court today and spoke to media outside.
Speaking to Virgin Media News, he said: “I have always denied any wrongdoing whatsoever.”

Media outlets were previously barred from naming Al when reporting on the case, but Judge John Hughes lift the reporting ban after the case was struck out.
