Snow Patrol cancel Dublin gig hours before stage time

Fans are devastated

Snow Patrol have been forced to cancel a gig in Dublin, just hours before the band were due on stage.

They were scheduled to perform at the Olympia Theatre tonight, but have decided to cancel the show altogether.

Announcing the news on Twitter, they wrote: “So sorry to announce, due to illness, we have to cancel tonight’s show at the @olympiatheatre dublin.”

“Information on refunds will follow shortly. We are gutted & were so looking forward to Dublin but it’s just not possible to do the show tonight.”

“See you all soon we promise,” they added.

The news comes after Snow Patrol were forced to pull out of Glastonbury over the summer, as band member Johnny McDaid had to undergo “immediate surgery” for a “serious problem with his neck”.

Snow Patrol were already a man down, as Nathan Connolly was recovering from nerve damage treatment on his hand at the time.
