Riverdale’s fourth season is about to land on our screens, and a new trailer for the series has just dropped.
The show will pay homage to the death of Luke Perry, who plays Fred Andrews, in the upcoming season.
In a new trailer, fans witness the moment Fred’s son Archie, played by KJ Apa, discovers his dad has passed away.
“It hurts me that I never got to say goodbye,” he narrates over a scene of him falling to the ground in shock.
The actor sadly passed away back in March after suffering a massive stroke.
Taking to Twitter, Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed that the new season’s first episode is titled ‘In Memoriam’ to honour Perry.
The series will stage a funeral for Fred Andrews, with the characters utilizing the actors’ true sorrow over the death of Luke Perry to deliver a heart wrenching performance in the scene.
The new trailer also reveals that fans of the show will finally get to learn more about the mysterious Lodge family.
