Maura Higgins has officially announced that she is joining the cast of Dancing on Ice.
Posting to her Instagram, the Irish model shared the news with a promo shot from the show.
Rumours have been rife that the Love Island star was joining the show, and she has finally confirmed the news.
“Cats out of the bag!!!” she captioned the snap.
“I’m joining the cast of this years @dancingonice.”
This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby shared the news too, ahead of the show’s launch.

“And wow… I just can not contain my excitement.”
A source previously told The Sun: “Dancing On Ice producers were always going to sign a Love Island star for next year’s series and they wanted a girl this time after having two guys in the past.”
Dancing On Ice producers reportedly met with a number of Love Island contestants, including winner Amber Gill, to consider them for the show, but selected Maura.

The show also shared a sneak peek of Maura’s Dancing on Ice photo, showing a close up of the model’s pout, with many fans guessing that the Longford native would be getting her skates on for the show.
The model is currently loved up with pro-dancer Curtis Pritchard.
Michael Barrymore was also confirmed for the season.
