Chris O’Dowd has celebrated winning his first Emmy for an acting role.
The Roscommon actor was awarded an Emmy for his performance in US TV show State of the Union.
In true Chris form, the actor took to Twitter after the milestone event, and just mentioned that he won an Emmy, but focused more on the fact he met people from Cork on the night.
“Quite a night. I won an Emmy and I met three people from Cork,” Chris wrote.
“I knew they were from Cork, because the second sentence they used each time was ‘I’m from Cork.’ “Hiya, I’m Madge, I’m from Cork” “congrats man what a load a shite tho, I’m from Cork”. You get the gist. #HappyOut”
