Amy Huberman has posted a touching tribute to her former co-star Nika McGuigan.
The actress, otherwise known as Danika, sadly passed away at the age of 30 after a “brief” battle with cancer.
Following the news of her death, many have taken to social media to share their condolences.
Amy Huberman, who starred alongside Nika in RTÉ’s ‘Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope’ wrote: “Deeply shocked and saddened at the devastating news about the talented, fantastic, shining Nika McGuigan.”

Stefanie Preissner, who created the comedy series, also tweeted: “Shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Nika McGuigan – the brilliant, lovely, Danielle in Can’t Cope Won’t Cope.”
“Wouldn’t have been the same without her. Deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.”

Irish actor Jack Reynor, who starred alongside Nika in Jim Sheridan’s The Secret Scripture, posted a photo of the actress on Instagram.
In a touching message, Jack wrote: “I’ve just heard that awful and shocking news that the incredible Nika McGuigan has passed away after a short illness.”
“She was an extraordinary person, an extraordinary actor, and she’ll be sorely missed by our community. It’s hard to find words to express the profound sadness of losing such a young and prodigious talent. Rest in peace Nika.”
