Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie has enjoyed the biggest selling opening weekend in Ireland.
The movie, created by Brendan O’Carroll was released on DVD last weekend, after erecting a special bronze statue of Agnes Brown in Dublin.
The statue was created to help boost sales of the DVD – and it clearly worked.
Speaking about the incredible opening weekend Managing Director of Xtra Vision Larry Howard said it was a testament to the TV series.
Success:Â The Agnes Brown statue made an impact
“They had the biggest selling opening weekend in Xtra-visions history,” he told the Irish Daily Star.
