Roz Purcell has opened up about her past with “food guilt” and how her way of thinking has changed for the better.
The food blogger took to Instagram to urge her followers to enjoy eating:
“Maybe some of you had a weekend like me, I had the best time relaxing and seeing friends and completely overindulged.”
“Before I would have woken up this morning with this dreaded feeling I had done something wrong that I needed to undo.”
However, Roz continued to explain how he ‘mindset has changed’ which she never thought was possible.
The Natural Born Feeder author highlighted how looking at your eating habits in a positive light can withdraw the ‘guilt’, she said: “It started with changing my thoughts to positive ones even if I didn’t believe them like – that ‘food was so good, I’m glad I got to try it’ rather than ‘why did I do that’.”
Roz admitted how she wasted “years feeling guilty over enjoying food, missed holidays, opportunities & moments.”
The food blogger finished her encouraging post with some straightforward advice: “Get over it, move on, return to normal today with your meals and attitude….you didn’t do anything wrong.”
