A lot of traditions were broken in Meghan Markle and Prince Hary’s royal wedding but one that was misreported was the bride not curtsying to the Queen.
The Duchess of Sussex has been widely praised for a progressive ceremony but there had been much speculation as to whether she would curtsy to the Queen as a sign of respect.
The former actress did curtsy but a camera error meant it wasn’t broadcast.
Twitter users were aghast at the prospect of the bride ignoring this piece of royal protocol.
Meghan – did you forget to curtsy to Her Majesty? I will have to lie down for months if you did forget. #royalwedding

Fellow British friends, can someone tell why Meghan didn’t curtsy to the Queen? ????????????????

Alas, they needn’t worry, an aerial view made the gesture of respect extremely tricky to see but she definitely did curtsy.
In fairness to the broadcaster they managed five full hours of live broadcasting fairly seamlessly which is no easy fate.
Here is the bow/curtsy, which you can barely see because some genius decided on a wide shot. #royalwedding pic.twitter.com/tBszb91Whn
