Austin Powers actor Verne Troyer had three times the legal alcohol limit in his system when he was admitted to hospital prior to his death.
According to TMZ, Verne made a distressing 911 call, and was threatening to take his own life.
Troyer was unresponsive upon arrival to the hospital.
Verne’s body began to shut down, which lead to medical workers placing him on life support, which was eventually shut off on Saturday.
The actors rep released a statement, which stated this time he could not keep fighting.
“Over the years he’s struggled and won, struggled and won, struggled and fought some more, but unfortunately this time was too much,” Verne’s rep said.
“Depression and suicide are very serious issues. You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside. Be kind to one another, and always know, it’s never too late to reach out to someone for help,”Verne’s rep added.
Mike Myers also released a statement that read, “It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed.”
