The X Factor has been labelled a “fix”, after last night’s six chair challenge caused a stir.
While this stage of the competition is always seriously emotional and frustrating for both contestants and viewers at home, last night during Louis Walsh’s round, things got even more dramatic.
It was the Irish music mogul’s turn to pick his final six for the live show, when he decided he wanted 18-year-old Jack Mason – meaning someone needed to be booted from their chair.
Instead of picking one person, Louis made three acts do a sing off, so he could choose who he would send home.
Soon there was a three-way sing-off between Spencer Sutherland, Benji Matthews and Lloyd Macey.
But the audience and the other judges went insane when Louis sent home 17-year-old Benji, with Sharon Osbourne running up to Louis, asking him to change his mind.
Fans were quick to take to Twitter to slam the show a “fix”:
they wonder why we always think xfactor is a fix when they keep getting rid of good singers
