Capital FM’s Chris Stark has revealed Nicki Minaj’s major diva reason for refusing an interview.
The 37-year-old admitted to his co-hosts Sian Welby and Jordan North that the rapper’s team were appalled by the “smell of his chips and beans.”
The radio DJ also detailed how he was instructed to air the room out before the 41-year-old entered the space.
Defending his actions, Chris said: “I was waiting to interview Nicki Minaj, and she kept running late. They kept delaying it more and more.”
“So, I got a bit hungry, darted downstairs to the canteen that was there for some chips and beans.”
“I was just enjoying my chips and beans, I was in the moment, when a member of Nicki Minaj’s team approached me, questioned what I was up to – because she thought it was a bit weird that I was eating chips and beans – then asked me to leave.”
Chris added: “I was just amazed at what was going on. I don’t know why. This was a few years ago, she was like at the real height.”
He continued: “They had to bring in candles and sprays and that, and I wasn’t allowed in until that was properly sorted.”
Nicki is currently on her fourth world tour- Pink Friday 2 World Tour, and is set to perform in Chicago on Wednesday and Thursday.
She has already been to Canada since the tour began on March 1st and will also play in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, France, Belgium, and more before the end.
Nicki is being supported on the tour by Monica and has brought out the likes of Chris Brown and Travis Scott during her performances.
