Ramona Nicholas has told how she is left hurt by constantly being called a “bitch” after appearing on the Dragons’ Den.
The RTE star finds it tough when men and women attack her for being fiesty on the show – failing to see that it is just edited-down TV.
The 37-year-old said: “Being really honest, it is hurtful. I get it nearly on a daily basis and is not just males, it is females.

“Someone may say, ‘Isn’t it great what Ramona Nicholas has done? It is a pity she is such a bitch.’
“And then they would be asked, ‘Have you ever met her?’ And they would say, ‘No, but you can see on TV she is a bitch.’
“To me, I just think I never am, never have been, never was [a bitch] – and TV is TV and why do people not understand that that is not the person?”

Ramona initially came to be selected for Dragons’ Den after appearing on Secret Millionaire – where rich people go undercover to help those less well off.
And even now the pharmacy boss admits she is shocked by what she saw.
She told the Star: “I grew up in a working class family but we had dinner on the table every day and we had a good education. I never saw beyond that.
“When I did Secret Millionaire, the shock to my system was just horrific. It was a complete and utter culture shock to me but one of the best experiences in my life.”
