Nicky Byrne receives ANOTHER boost in his Eurovision bid

Nicky Byrne has gained another boost in his chances at Eurovision glory as it was confirmed that the UK and Australia will be voting in Ireland’s Eurovision semi-final.

The allocation draw for the semi-final of the contest took place in Stockholm this morning, with Ireland being drawn first out of all the countries involved.

During the draw, Ireland was described as the “the Queen of Eurovision” as our country landed a slot in the first half of the second semi-final, taking place on Thursday May 12.

Winner: Chances are good for Nicky to go all the way | ANDRES POVEDA

Voting issues for Ireland in recent years could be resolved as both the UK and Australia will boost Nicky’s chances of qualifying.

Nicky and the people of Ireland should be delighted with the luck of the draw as votes from the UK and Australia, two countries with a large Irish population, could be crucial for Nicky at that stage of the contest.

Meanwhile, Ronan Keating has showed support for his fellow boyband star Nicky in his bid to win the Eurovision.
