Love/Hate's Peter Coonan warns he's set to QUIT Ireland – in search of breaking America

Love/Hate star Peter Coonan is all set to pack up his bags and head to America – after proving he has talent in the crime drama.

The Dubliner – who plays Fran in the RTE show – wants to move Stateside with his family before his newborn daughter starts school.

He has already proved himself in Ireland playing the part for five years, and has recently been on stage in Borstal Boy to rave reviews.

Now Peter, 30, warned this could be the last we see of him – as New York and Hollywood are in his sights.

He said: “We are in a good position to go. Beth is still a baby and while we want her to go to school in Ireland there’s time before that.”

It comes as Goss.ie told how more than a million people are expected to tune in to Love/Hate’s finale this weekend.

It is expected to show Fran being gang-raped in prison, and Peter admitted about his character: “He had the pretty wife, the comfortable house and was doing quite well.

“Then everything just spiralled out of control when he got in with John Boy’s crew.”

However Laurence Kinlan, who plays Elmo, has ruled out following his pal to America.

He told the RTE Guide: “I’m very lucky in that I have work all the time. There are some actors who feel they need to be in London or in Los Angeles but I never did.

“Especially now with the two kids, I don’t want to be swanning off somewhere for months on end.”
