Niall Horan was the last big Irish talent on the X Factor, but Louis Walsh said there’s a potential star on the show this year.
Louis has revealed some Irish acts have got through to boot camp, after success at the Dublin auditions.
“I don’t want to name any names as we are just about to start the arena round,”

“But I am very confident that there will be a few Irish contestants making it through to the live shows,” he told the Herald.
It has been rumoured that Linda Martin’s new band Syng Street have already impressed the judges.

Meanwhile Louis revealed he didn’t think he’d be back on the talent show this year:
“I honestly didn’t think I would return for one more year but then Simon came back and I do
love it,.
“It’s my eleventh year and I must say it’s the best job in the world.”
