IFTAs host Laura Whitmore has revealed she won’t be bringing rumoured boyfriend Paolo Nutini to the event.
Instead the MTV presenter – who will be presenting the gongs with Simon Delaney – has admitted that her hot date on Saturday is her mum Carmel.
She said: “My mother is delighted because she’ll be coming with me.
“I brought her to it one year when I was presenting an award and I remember when we were in the green room Pierce Brosnan came in and she was in her element.

“So the minute I told her that I was going to be presenting the show she said, ‘Oh great, I have a dress,’ even before I asked her if she wanted to come.”
And Laura also insisted she has no plans to move back to Ireland from the UK.
She added: “I went straight from college to my job at MTV in London so my life is there now.
“I haven’t had that much experience working at home and I probably wouldn’t get as much work as I do in the UK.”
