The rockabilly beauty revealed that the show has been cancelled because RTE can no longer pay for the expenses of the show.
“They said there is no funds because obviously they have to pay for all the bands, their flights and hotels,” the 41-year-old told the Irish Mirror.
“And things were mad for me. I was wondering when I was going to get the time to do it.”

Imelda further revealed that she had a big list of bands that she had wanted to perform on the show.
“It’s a shame that it is not coming back because I had a big list of bands that I wanted to come on there this year around but they said they hadn’t got the funds,” the Dublin native admitted.
A spokesperson for RTEÂ admitted, “We love the Imelda May Show however we weren’t in a position to commission the series this year.”
Instead, her slot will be given to country star, Nathan Carter, for a five part series, who recently revealed to Goss.ie that he likes women with a curvier figure.Â
